Term Note capability for brokers

A clear role in a broader funding panel.

For brokers placing eligible premium-funding loans, our Term Note marketplace connects those loans with investor capital. Built around a Trust established in December 2020, it brings years of allocation, servicing and reporting experience to our broader panel capability.

Subject to eligibility, credit assessment, available funding and agreement terms. Interest and fees apply.

An established product

Experience built across the life of a loan.

The Clearmatch Insurance Funding Term Note Trust commenced on 18 December 2020. The pathway has since formed part of how we fund and administer eligible premium-finance business.

The work extends from assessing the borrower and policy programme to matching eligible loans with investor mandates, servicing repayments and administering the resulting Term Notes. Our team understands the requirements on both sides of that relationship.

For brokers, this experience adds depth to the panel conversation. We can work through your client’s policy dates, entities and funding requirements, then assess whether the warehouse, Term Note marketplace or selective balance-sheet pathway is appropriate.

Term Notes retain the same Clearmatch credit policies and processes. Availability depends on asset eligibility, investor funding, documentation and the agreed terms.

Beyond the standard

Start with the case, then consider the structure.

A client’s larger, unusual or more involved premium can call for a different funding discussion between broker and lender.

Our Term Note capability is a funding pathway for eligible premium-funding loans. It follows the same credit policies and processes as our other funding pathways.

The premium, the borrower’s circumstances, available funding, documentation and assessment all matter. Our team can discuss the case with you as the referring broker and explain what information would be required. An enquiry is not a funding offer or an approval.

Part of the panel proposition

A different source of funding. The same credit discipline.

A loan can satisfy our credit policy while needing a route outside the warehouse’s particular funding parameters.

The Term Note marketplace sits alongside our securitised warehouse and selective balance-sheet capacity. It lets our team consider eligible cases through another funding route, including programmes that need a more considered structure.

Term Note loans follow the same Clearmatch credit policies and processes. The pathway depends on available investor funding, documentation and the relevant terms; it does not turn a loan that fails our credit policy into an eligible one.

Prepare the client case for discussion.

  1. 01

    Describe the requirement

Share your client’s premium, policy context, and the amount and timing of funding needed.

  2. 02

    Explain the circumstances

Help us understand your client’s business and what makes the case different from a standard funding request.

  3. 03

    Work through suitability

Our team considers the case, the required information and potential next steps. Any proposal needs its own assessment and terms.

The Clearmatch difference

Expertise on both sides of the table.

More funding options, with the same credit discipline. Broker knowledge and funding knowledge are most useful when they are connected early.

Bring your client’s case to us before assuming a standard structure will fit. An early broker discussion can establish whether a bespoke pathway is worth exploring, or whether another next step is more appropriate.

Important to understand.

Term Note arrangements are considered case by case and remain subject to assessment, available funding, documentation and relevant agreement terms. This page is general information, not a credit approval, financial advice or an offer of investment.

The separate Investor section explains the Insurance Funding Term Note Trust, its risks and the next steps for eligible Australian wholesale investors.
