Clearmatch investors
A specialist investment. A record built over time.
Since December 2020, our Insurance Funding Term Note Trust has connected wholesale investors with the financing of business insurance premiums. Its story is built on years of credit assessment, portfolio allocation, loan servicing and investor reporting.
For wholesale investors in Australia only. Capital and returns are not guaranteed.
The investment proposition
Essential cover. A considered investment.
Businesses need insurance. Premium funding helps them manage the timing of that cost.
The Fund subscribes for Term Notes issued by finance companies to fund eligible insurance-premium loans. Businesses repay those loans through agreed instalments, supporting principal and interest payments on the corresponding Term Notes.
This connects two ongoing needs: businesses planning how to pay their insurance premiums and wholesale investors seeking exposure to premium-finance assets. Clearmatch brings the lending, allocation and administration work together, with distinct trustee and custodian roles.
Our Term Note history
More than five years of specialist experience.
The Trust commenced on 18 December 2020. Its monthly composite performance record begins in January 2021.
From January 2021 to July 2026, the manager-reported net composite recorded a positive return in each of its 67 monthly observations. That history sits alongside an established operating process: selecting eligible loans, allocating interests to portfolios, servicing repayments and reporting to members.
The composite combines accounts managed to substantially similar objectives and is net of management fees with income reinvested. Individual investor results can differ materially. Positive composite months do not establish that every loan performed or that no credit losses occurred.
Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance. Capital and returns are not guaranteed. The Fund page sets out the reporting period, calculation basis and investment risks.
Why this asset class
Specialist assets. A clear investment framework.
A defined underlying purpose
Term Note proceeds finance business insurance premiums. The underlying loans are generally repaid through monthly instalments.
Portfolio-level diversification
Whole or fractional interests allow allocations across borrowers and insurers under the Fund’s investment guidelines. Diversification does not eliminate loss.
Investment visibility for members
Members can view portfolio information through the online Member Portal or receive a monthly reporting pack.
Connected by Clearmatch
The work behind the investor relationship.
A Term Note investment needs ongoing attention beyond the initial allocation.
Our clearing platform allocates whole or fractional economic interests in Term Notes to member portfolios. Clearmatch manages investments, administration and reporting, while the trustee and custodian perform their separate responsibilities.
As loan repayments are received, the principal and interest are applied under the member’s reinvestment instructions. Credit monitoring, collections and recovery work remain part of servicing the underlying assets. Online portfolio information and monthly reporting help members follow their investments over time.
Before an investment decision
Understand the commitment.
Prospective investors should consider the investment’s benefits together with its risks, liquidity and their own circumstances.
Capital is at risk
Borrower defaults, insurer or finance-company failure and incomplete recoveries can cause losses. Neither capital nor income is guaranteed.
Read the key risksPlan for the investment period
The core IM recommends a 2–5 year investment period. Term Notes are illiquid; access to invested capital depends on repayments and the member’s reinvestment instructions.
Understand access to capitalInvestor relations
A conversation before a commitment.
Investor Relations can provide prospective Australian wholesale investors with the Information Memorandum and explain eligibility, the investment process and the applicable terms.
