Workers’ compensation funding, with the detail understood.
Workers’ compensation is a speciality of our premium-funding team. We work with you on clients’ premium notices, policy dates and payment requirements, supporting your client conversations with funding expertise for a substantial annual business cost.
Funding is subject to eligibility, credit assessment, approval, available funding and agreement terms. Interest and fees apply.
Specialist attention
Bring the premium into your client’s cash-flow discussion.
A client’s workers’ compensation premium can fall due while wages, suppliers and other operating costs continue.
Premium funding can spread an eligible premium through an agreed repayment schedule. That gives the client’s business a defined funding commitment to consider alongside its other cash requirements.
The detail matters: which entity is insured, the relevant state or territory scheme, the period of cover and when payment is required. Our team works with you to assess those details and support the funding conversation you lead with your client.
A considered decision
Help clients compare the actual choices.
Bring the full cost and timing of each available option into the client conversation.
Upfront premium payment
Consider the effect on the client’s working capital and any early-payment discount available under the relevant scheme.
Scheme payment options
Check which direct instalment options are available to the client, their payment dates and any conditions or charges.
Premium funding
Help the client compare the loan’s interest, fees, total amount payable and repayment dates with the other choices. A discount does not automatically make funding cheaper.
Before the payment date
Prepare a useful client funding discussion.
- 01
Share the current notice
With the client’s permission, provide the premium invoice or notice, insured entity, policy period, scheme or insurer and payment deadline.
- 02
Explain the wider programme
Tell us about the client’s other premiums, different renewal dates and any expected adjustments. We can assess whether policies should be considered together or separately.
- 03
Support the client’s review
Help the client review the repayment schedule, total cost and funding conditions. Allow time for assessment and completion before the premium is due.
Workers’ compensation questions from brokers.
Does every state have the same payment options?
No. Scheme rules, direct instalment arrangements and discounts vary. Use the client’s current premium notice and scheme information when comparing choices; our team can discuss the funding side with you.
Can workers’ compensation sit within a broader funding programme?
We can assess eligible workers’ compensation premiums alongside other insurance premiums. Different inception dates, policy periods or borrowing entities may require separate arrangements.
What if the premium changes after a wages declaration?
Bring the change to our funding team and coordinate with the client’s insurance adviser where that is a separate role. An additional premium, refund or policy adjustment may affect the funding requirement; an existing loan does not change automatically.
Who advises on the insurance and scheme obligations?
Cover advice stays with the client’s authorised insurance adviser, with the relevant scheme providing information on scheme obligations. Clearmatch assesses the funding and supports your client conversation. This Australian workers’ compensation page does not describe New Zealand ACC levy arrangements.
